    英國搵工前準備 1 - 考慮開設一個搵工專用的電子郵件帳戶

    您可以考慮創建一個單獨的電子郵件帳戶,提高您在搵工時的效率。通過創建新帳戶,您可以將電子郵件的地址自訂為您的名字和姓氏,確保您使用適合搵工用的電子郵件帳戶名,令僱主感到您是一位認真求職的人士。

      例如您的名字: Sandy Lau / Ka Yan Lau

    英國搵工前準備 - 2:整理Social Media 所分享的公開內容

    如果您在Social Media (E.g.Facebook、LinkedIn、Twitter 等) 用您求職時用的名字,部份僱主會在考慮是否約您面試前,可能會在Google 先Search 下您個名,先對您進行初步了解及睇下您的名字會否告訴他有關您的個人特質或專業資格。同時,要留意Facebook的 個人照片/資料,部份英國僱主可能會按您CV所寫的名字搜尋Facebook。如果僱主可以透過Facebook找到您,建議將個人照片更換為一張專業照片,或可以突顯您個性的照片。

    英國搵工前準備 - 3: 預備推薦人的資料

    英國公司會做Reference Check,建議您預先預備2-3個推薦人的資料做 Reference。推薦人可以是前僱主、 教授、老師、客戶、 供應商等。如果您有做義工,可以找組織的領導者或其他成員作為個人推薦。

    當您知道邊個可以做您的Referee後,記得要與推薦人建立良好關係、有推薦人的聯絡資料,包括姓名 (First Name、Last name)、電話、電郵地址。

    Reference Check 通常會問推薦人什麼問題?

    • Dates of employment
    • Job title and main responsibilities
    • Attendance record and number of days sick leave taken
    • If they were reliable, honest, hardworking etc
    • Any disciplinary actions taken against them
    • What were the main responsibilities of the candidate in their last role?
    • What are the candidate’s greatest strengths?
    • Do you think the candidate is qualified for this new role?
    • How well did the candidate handle a specific skill or situation?
    • What was the candidate’s reason for leaving?
    • Would you rehire this candidate?

    英國搵工前準備 -4: 預備Thank You Letter Template

    建議在面試後的24 – 48小時內以電郵發Thank You Letter 給僱主,有助提高僱主對您的印象!

    建議文章結構:

    • 1st paragraph: Thank the employer for their time interviewing you.
    • 2nd paragraph: Continue with expressing your interest in the job. Tell the employer how excited you are about the job and how you would be a good fit: talk about how you will contribute to their business and what you propose to do.
    • 3rd paragraph: nclose documents if required. Tell the employer where you can be reached and that you look forward to hearing from them soon.

    Thank You Letter 例子/範本 1 :

    Dear Mr. Johnson,

    I would like to thank you for the opportunity to interview with you yesterday for the position of Administrative Assistant. I enjoyed meeting with you and your staff, and having the chance to learn more about the details of the position and about Smart Key Productions.

    I am extremely interested in joining your organisation. I was very impressed with your company, and I believe that my education, experience, and skills will allow me to contribute to Smart Key Productions in a positive manner. I have some ideas of how I can make immediate contributions to your team.
